The Ericsson Mobility Report journey started in 2011, when Ericsson decided to share data and insights openly to all those interested in understanding our industry's development. Since then, the report and featured articles have seen a continuous evolution and an expanding scope. Discover more about our journey below.

In a third qualitative study, open-ended interviews were conducted with female clients in order to explore client perceptions of empathic listening (Myers, 2000). Participants reported the following counselor behaviors as important for experiencing an empathic bond with the therapist:

The GitLab team handbook is the central repository for how we run the company.Printed, it consists of over 2,000 pages of text.As part of our value of being transparent the handbook is open to the world, and we welcome feedback. Please make a merge request to suggest improvements or add clarifications. Please use issues to ask questions.

Some companies host all their code in a single repository, shared among everyone. Monorepos can reach colossal sizes. Google, for example, is theorized to have the largest code repository ever, which has tens of hundreds of commits per day and is over 80 TBs large. Other companies known to run large monorepos are Microsoft, Facebook, and Twitter.

Monorepos are sometimes called monolithic repositories, but they should not be confused with monolithic architecture, which is a software development practice for writing self-contained applications. An example of this is a Ruby on Rails monolith handling websites, API endpoints, and background jobs.

While multirepos allow each team to manage their projects independently, they also put up collaboration barriers. In that way, they can act as blinders, making developers focus only on the part they own, forgetting the overall picture.

A monorepo, on the other hand, works as a central hub, a market square where every developer, engineer, tester, and business analyst meet and talk. Monorepos encourage conversations and help us bring silos down.

Alex Noonan tells a tale about saying goodbye to multirepos. Segment.com, the company where she works, offers an event collection and forwarding service. Each of its customers needs to consume data in a special format. Thus, the engineering team initially decided to use a mix of microservices and multirepos.

For Segment the remedy was consolidation. The team migrated all the services and dependencies into a single monorepo. While the transition was successful, it was very taxing as they had to reconcile shared libraries and test everything each time. Still, the end result was reduced complexity and increased maintainability.

Airbnb engineers fought a valiant fight to keep the monorail up, but eventually, after weeks of debate, they decided to split the application into microservices. And so, they created two monorepos: one for the frontend and one for the backend. Both comprise hundreds of services, the documentation, Terraform and Kubernetes resources for deployment, and all the maintenance tools.

At the time this happened, she was working on the Android client team. They used monorepos from the very beginning. But after five years of active development, the problems of monorepo started to show.

It was at this point that Uber engineers regrouped and decided to give monorepo one more chance. With a lot more resources and knowing ahead of time the problems they would face, they choose to invest in tooling: they changed IDEs, implemented a merge queue, and used differential builds to speed up deployments.

Pinterest found that trunk-based development paired with monorepos helped make headway. The cornerstone of trunk-based development is using only short-lived branches and merging to the main branch as frequently as possible, reducing the chance of merge conflicts.

For Pinterest, a monorepo layout provided a consistent development workflow. Automation, simplification, and standardization of release practices allowed them to cut down on boilerplate and let developers focus on writing code.

EPANET is public domain software that can be freely copied and distributed. It is a Windows-based program that will work with all versions of Windows. Continued development and bug fixes are occurring under an open source project site in GitHub. Software bugs and feature requests can be reported on the site as issues, and information is available for those interested in contributing to the code and/or viewing the quality assurance plan, contributor guidelines, software development roadmap, automated testing suite, and other information.

EPANET's user interface provides a visual network editor that simplifies the process of building pipe network models and editing their properties and data. Various data reporting and visualization tools are used to assist in interpreting the results of a network analysis, including color-coded network maps, data tables, energy usage, reaction, calibration, time series graphs, and profile and contour plots.

Current releases of Linux binary demo files can be found on the i.MX Linux download page. The Linux User Guide and Linux Reference Manual provide additional information. Additional documentation can be found the i.MX Linux documentation bundle, or under the Linux sections on the i.MX Software and Development Tool.

A .sdcard file is a disk image that is flashed directly into any SD card. This is the simplest way to load all necessary components required to boot the i.MX8MQuad EVK board. The latest pre-built images for the i.MX8MQuad EVK is available on the Linux download page.

Once the BSP package is downloaded from the Linux download page, ensure that a pre-built SD card image built specifically for the i.MX8MQuad EVK board is in the compressed file. The SD card image is named -.sdcard.

The pre-built images from the package are categorized by boot device and put in the directory with the device name. The latest pre-built image files can be found in Android section on the i.MX Software and Development Tool, or on the demo images downloader link.

Insert an SDcard on connector J1701. Turn on the board in serial download mode, uuu starts to copy the images to the board. To put the board in serial download mode follow the instructions on the Boot switch setup section.
